8. Judges’ Obligations

Judges participating in the Claro Awards must adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Judges must follow scoring instructions, maintain confidentiality, and evaluate the required number of entries per category.
  • Judges' participation is voluntary and should be listed as a volunteer activity, not employment, on resumes or social media.
  • Judges must refrain from contacting nominees directly or disclosing their identity to nominees. Judging is conducted anonymously.
  • Judges are required to provide accurate personal information for publication on the Claro Awards website. Deadlines for submitting this information will be communicated via email.
  • Judges are prohibited from using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to evaluate entries or to draft comments, except for translation or grammar checks.
  • Judges will not download, copy, save, or share any entries or their content.

9. Nomination Consent

By submitting your nomination, you agree to allow us to use your personally identifiable information (PII) in the review of your nomination conducted by judges.

10. Judging Confidentiality

By participating in judging, you agree to keep the nominee's information confidential and use it solely for judging purposes.

11. Judging Account Management

Claro Awards reserves the right to deactivate or delete judging accounts under certain circumstances, including but not limited to:

  • Failure to comply with scoring and commenting guidelines.
  • Unethical behavior, including the sharing of entry content.
  • Lack of response to invitations or requests for edits.

12. Acceptance or Rejection of Nominations

The Claro Awards team will review all submitted nominations to determine their eligibility for evaluation by our professional jurors. Nominations deemed unsuitable, incomplete, or frivolous may be rejected and returned to the user account as "saved but not submitted." Rejected nominations may be modified and resubmitted for consideration.

13. Final Decision on Category Placement

In the event of a dispute regarding the appropriate category for an entry, the decision of the Claro Awards team will be final. Judges may suggest a different category for an entry, and at their discretion, the Claro Awards team may reassign the entry to a different category.

14. Website Usage and Cookies

The Claro Awards website uses cookies and web server logs to collect aggregate information about site usage, such as pages viewed, time spent on the site, and IP addresses. This information is used to improve user experience and is not associated with individual users.

15. Voting Integrity

The Claro Awards is a platform where users can vote for their preferred candidates or projects. To ensure the integrity of the voting process, we have implemented various measures to detect and prevent fraudulent activities. Any attempt to manipulate or disrupt the voting process may result in disqualification of the votes, suspension of the account, or legal action.

16. Event Participation

Participation in any Claro Awards event, whether virtual or in-person, is subject to additional terms and conditions. By registering for or attending an event, you agree to comply with all event rules and guidelines. Failure to adhere to these rules may result in removal from the event and/or disqualification from any associated awards.

17. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the operation of the Services or the information, content, materials, or products included on the Site.

18. Limitation of Liability

We will not be liable for any damages of any kind arising from the use of the Services, including, but not limited to, direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, and consequential damages.
